Biscayne bay redfish on fly and a handful of different species

It's been a great start for 2014, and I'm very thankful for all of the great friends and the opportunities that I've had. This week I had some buddies aboard and I can't think of any better way to burn new memories. Willy and Ulysses rode along with me for a great day of fishing in the shallow waters of biscayne bay and a little bit of reef fishing, as well. We started the day poling in search of monster reds. We found them early, but they were not very interested in what we had to offer.  After having Ulysses switch up to a fly pattern that I tied up, and a great presentation, it was on!  Ulysses was rewarded with an absolutely beautiful redfish on the 8wt.

Later on, we picked through a bunch of nice yellowtails, mangrove snapper, muttons, macks and a mix of different grouper.  All in all, it was an action-filled day with great friends!
